The rooms are well-designed and attractive, complete with balcony and a comfortable double bed. Breakfast is satisfying, especially the scrambled eggs. - the location in Bad Wilhelmshoehe district is fantastic, right next to the nature reserve, Herkules monument, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, and the convention centre.

The breakfasts were excellent and had scrambled eggs. the hotel's location was perfect, right next to an interesting UNESCO park. - It was convenient being close to a restaurant, a tram stop to Kassel, and lovely walks right at the doorstep.

I found the staff to be somewhat rude and put out if you ask anything. We were english speaking and that seem to be an issue. It was as if they had just a soon us not been there. We stayed at 17 hotels on our trip, most booked by booking .com and this is the only I would encourage people not to use.

Food was pretty average for the price. Nice buffet, but preparation was only so-so.

Hotel location was excellent as it was directly at the castles on the Wilhelmshoehe. The breakfast buffet was not huge but of good quality. Also, the hotel was very quiet while we were there, which was nice for relaxing at night.
The rooms were fairly old and the beds and linens nothing special considering the price. The furnishings were spartan rather than plush. Also, there were no blinds or black-out curtains, only light translucent white curtains.

I booked this hotel specifically for the location near the park since that was the main attraction we wanted to visit while we were there. Parking was convenient and we could walk to the park. However, that meant that we had to drive to restaurants to eat since my children did not find the hotel restaurant appealing.
Though the hotel is rated 4 stars, I felt it was much more like a 3 star.

Well-appointed, perfectly clean hotel with a nice pool. Exceptionally nice location, near a tram station. Enjoyed lovely wooded area. Really helpful staff always on hand. Breakfast with scrambled eggs. I had a great stay at Schlosshotel Kassel in Kassel, which is a really nice and clean hotel with a lovely pool. the location is exceptional, very convenient being near a tram station. I also enjoyed the beautiful wooded area around the hotel. A big plus was the delicious breakfast, including tasty scrambled eggs.

the location was lovely, right next to the palace and close enough to the city centre for us ! beds were comfortable and shower good. breakfast was nice.
the distance from the carpark to the room with a family of 5 and all our luggage was difficult ! staff spoke little english although this was not a huge problem !

The only pluses were two women at reception who eventually helped with luggage (but only once I had went back to appeal to them to do so) They tried to help about issues caused by the appalling behaviour of their more senior colleagues. Green park land setting is very good.
Poor value for money with an almost non existent level of service. Senior reception or client manager and other staff in restaurant and bar very rude. Wrong food provided twice without cutlery! So despite appeals we went hungry, and on top of this at check out we were charged for items that had not been provided. Argumentative and unhelpful maitre d and we experienced poor treatment by the reception manager on departure. Hotel a fair way out from city centre and Documenta. Be warned, as we were not, that apart from services being almost scarce with no apologies our redress for issues that occurred, there are many stairs to get luggage up, no lifts and heavy non automated doors to get through. This apart from our stay being marred by neglect, or being abused by senior staff when matters were raised.

+ It was sooooo calm and relaxing!!! In a green environnement, birds flying in front of the window, with a view on the Hercules. And the beakfast was excellent!
- ... we didn't thought the touristic maps they gave us for information would be on the bill...
